mono

i think if i were a microbe, i'd want to be a mono.

(discovered in dan & teresa's blog.)

by grace

You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. It is written: 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.' So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.
Romans 14:10-13 (NIV)

search me

search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.

see if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

nineties

amanda sent this to me. i found it amusing, so here it is..

You know you're a 90's kid if...
  1. You can sing the rap to "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air"
  2. You yearned to be part of the Baby-Sitters club.
  3. You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons.
  4. You wore a ponytail on the side of your head and had fluffed bangs.
  5. You remember reading "Goosebumps".
  6. You have pondered why Smurfette was the only female smurf.
  7. You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence...Not...
  8. You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green Ranger were meant to be together.
  9. You wore socks over leggings scrunched down.
  10. You remember boom boxes vs. cd players, and walkmans were essential!
  11. You remember New Kids on The Block when they were cool.
  12. You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved by the Bell".
  13. You used to pretend to be a MIGHTY MORPHIN Power Ranger and you owned a Skip It.
  14. You had at least one GigaPet, Nano or tamagochi and brought it everywhere.
  15. You watched the ORIGINAL Care Bears, My Little Pony, and Ninja Turtles
  16. You remember when the new Beanie Babies were always sold out.
  17. You used to wear those stick on earings, not only on your ears but at the corners of your eyes.
  18. You know the Macarena by heart.
  19. " Talk to the hand" ... enough said.
  20. You thought Brain woud finally take over the world.
  21. 2 words ... SPICE GIRLS.
  22. You wanted to be one of Captain Planet's Planeters.. "Earth! Fire! Wind! Water! Heart!" "Captain Planet, he's a hero! Gonna bring pollution down 2 zero!" "The Power is Yours!".
  23. You can hum the theme tune from Thomas the Tank Engine.
  24. You used to watch around the twist on channel 2!
  25. Handball and bullrush were the best games to play!
  26. You ate a million packets of chips a day so you could collect every single tazo!
well although i only got 20 out of 26, i think the nineties were great! not. HAHA. i mean... can you guess which ones are me? oh my goodness! i just noticed, whoever wrote this got the lyrics for the captain planet theme song wrong! am i right? "he's our hero!" and "gonna take pollution down to zero!" tut tut. man, i so totally wanted to be the pink power ranger. i used to dream about... erm okay now is probably a good time to stop this post.
