part #4 of the 'schoolies series'

SUNDAY -- the first sunrise

okay so saturday night was spent trying to stay up in order to watch the sunrise the next day. we put on the triple x sequel to help us keep awake. unfortunately geoff fell asleep on the couch before the show even started i think and tiff eventually decided to sacrifice the lovely sunrise to get some shuteye. sooo that left me and jono determined as ever to watch it. muahahahha and we did.

we actually tried to wake up geoff but he was way too fast asleep to hear my unsatisfactory attempt to stop laughing or to feel jono's nudging. he just kept snoring. hahahhaa. so at exactly 4:30am we left the house with our cameras, a towel to sit on the sand with, a bottle of water to keep us hydrated, and a jacket for me because it was soo cold.

outside was literally pitch black, apart from the lampposts and other random lights in the distance. it was kinda eerie walking around outside that late at night. the only other time i had done that was after the boyz ii men concert when we went to chinatown looking for food, only to find that all the shops were closing. but that was different. i had four guys (including bdan and brian) to protect me.. now there was only jono. haha! but nah it was fine.. the street looked kinda cool at night.

the moon was SO beautiful that night.. oh my gosh i wish i could like take it home with me. it was like behind the clouds and it made these really gorgeous swirls of blue.. i tried to take a photo of it but it didn't turn out nearly as nice as it looked in real life. sigh.
here's one i took a little later that i like:it gradually got brighter, as the sky does in the morning and soon the sun was coming out...

sorry i can't keep my camera straight:and then amazingly..everything i touched went to gold. HAHAHAHHAHAHA.
when we got back to the house it was about 6ish and i tried to sleep on the rocking chair, which is actually quite comfortable when sitting on it. but sleeping in it just doesn't work. well for me anyway. so i went back upstairs into the girls' sleeping quarters and slept on my bed for about one and a half hours after which time i got up and had breakfast with the rest of the gang. even though i was tres tired, the sunrise was all worth it. =)

sunday was a pretty quiet day... we lazed around in the morning and eventually realised we missed church (altho me and jono watched a sermon on tv at 4am). so jono gathered us around to have a little service of our own. which was pretty cool... we sang a few songs and then we each shared some stuf about our hsc year. kinda got a bit deep so i won't let slip anything here. but just know that we're all in it together! so fellowship is good, as theo pointed out in his little spiel. hehehheh oh, funny stuf. "microfibre!" hahahhaaahahahhahahaa.

then we went to bum around the beach for an hour or two. me, chris and tiff found this fish that had died and washed up on shore. EWWW it was so gross. i took a video of it rolling along the sand as the tide came in and out but i don't kno how to load it onto here. so HAHA.

oh yeh the guys created these sand sculptures which were so impressive. i was so impressed.
there was a crocodile which just had awesome detail:

and a face that was meant to resemble theo and his ever-so-attractive nose HAHAHHAH.
oh and then this extremely funny but cruel thing happened to lena. she was in her swimmers cos she was lying on the sand before (trying to sunbake maybe?) but she had a really pretty top on too.. and jono was so mean! he like picked her up, ran towards the water and practically DUNKED her!! she was like screaming so heavily and oh my goodness... it was actually really cruel of him. but nonetheless we got (most) of it on video so there'll still be some good laughs to be had. poor lena! and then her top was dropped on the sand because jono did something mean again. tut tut, jono. =P

for dinner we had mexican (cooked by most of us) - beef or chicken burritos and tacos. (yes eldora, tacos). they were pretty tasty and i was incredibly hungry.... but there was only one sliiiiight problem. i can't even remember how it started but something got me giggling whilst eating my FIRST, and may i accentuate F-I-R-S-T burrito, and i just..couldn't stop laughing. it was pretty horrible cos lena started laughing at me... and then geoff joined in...and oh my goodness it was like absolute, horrific chaos... i couldn't stand or sit properly for the next hour.. and it seriously went on for like an hour. hahahahhahh it was pretty funny tho... oh dear. i was so hungry yet i could only eat so little cos my tummy was so sore. and i was crying. and yeh... finally lena left me alone at the dinner table to watch some kylie show on tv with the guys. and that sorta calmed me down. phew. i'm glad that's over. although i have to admit.. it was fun.

and then we sorta had a sing-a-long (or in the case of lena, being serenaded to by three guys), i played mahjong with chris, tiff and theo which wasn't as exciting as i had anticipated it to be, oh and i played some smash brothers sometime that day with theo and geoff.. hahah that was fun. no samus no!!

after we played some games chris and tiff went to bed and so did geoff. which left me, lena and theo to amuse ourselves downstairs (which isn't hard considering..its us. hahahha) and jono "asleep" on the couch. we put on you've got mail cos lena hadn't seen it yet and i said it was a must. theo was sleeping on and off but at least he didn't complain about anything. all of a sudden, we see jono get off the couch and lie on the floor. the three of us just went completely still, we had like no idea what had just happened. was he sleep-walking? or was he awake and about to pounce on us? mannn it was so weird. then he got back onto the couch grabbed the remote control and turned off the dvd told us to "shut up". we just looked at each other with completely blank looks on our faces and mouths open wide. shut up? we were just... joyfully watching the movie! hahhah... anyway so lena decided it wasn't worth it and went up into her bed. after trying to reason with jono, me and theo left as well. arghhhh it was so weird and freaky. what was he thinking?

no federer no!!! why did u have to loooooose??! ='( then may jono wouldn't have slept on the couch and creeped us all out!
