i *heart* disney
i love being a big kid. it's so much fun! i get to enjoy hong kong disneyland even though it's at least a quarter of the size of the disneyland in LA. it seriously is rather small, but we made our own fun, me and tori. we had to be the craziest and most enthusiastic people there! we went insane. i love being stupid in a foreign country! it's the best! hahaa.
i tried to find a disney video code online but this is the only one i could get that's like not some dodgy home video of a parade in disneyland haha. i love this song though! but the movie version is better. they always are. well.. hope it helps with setting the mood hehe.
we both got a photo/autograph book so we tried to meet as many characters as we could. but we only got to a few. we just missed out on meeting cinderella!!! it was so lame. they stopped people from queuing up! but i did get to photos with belle, alice (in wonderland), pooh and tigger, chip n dale, timon aaaaaand i think that was it. or was it?
oh it was so much fun! we went to all these shows where they had the songs and stuf. the philharmagic one was the best. it was 3D and we got to wear those ever so fashionable glasses. we saw the lion king "theatre on the wild" (haha get it?) and "the golden mickeys" (this one took me a while to get) which was in CANTONESE! except for the singing. that was in english thank goodness.
the funnest ride was probably the mad hatter's tea cups just cos its crraazzeee! u go round and round in circles and by the end i'm like laughing insanely and wheeee it's just so fun! i think we were the only ones (apart from very small, young children) who were amused by it. we went on it three times.
so yeh. all in all, it was heaps of funnESS. and i bought some merchandise. ohhh some of the soft toys were soo cute!! but were too expensive to buy. =| i got an eeyore keyring though. hehe soo cute. but disappointingly, the shops in hk disneyland was a lot smaller and they didn't have as vast a collection as LA did. they focussed so much on mickey, minnie, goofy, pluto, daffy, pooh, tigger, piglet and eeyore and didn't really have much on the rest of the characters. which was a real shame cos i would've bought some. sorry josh, no mike. =(
hmmm... anyway we got home from disneyland at like 10pmish (monday) and was just so tired that we slept until almost midday the next day (tuesday)! i went to some markets on fa yuen street today which were pretty interesting. dirty but cheap. i cannot believe that lady was selling CHICKENS! like REAL ones. i told tori to take a photo for me but the lady was like "no photo!" so i was sad. i bought a few things.. some of which are pretty useless. like bunny ear clips. hahahh i'll take a photo of them so you can see. hahaha they're cute! then we went to mong kok which wasn't nearly as exciting as i was expecting.
then we decided to go see a movie in times square - KING KONG. we had mcdonalds before the movie just to see if it was any different (with any asian influence) but it was rather much the same. i actually liked king kong. although there were several unnecessarily extended scenes like the ones with dinosaurs. what was with that? seriously! dinosaurs?! but it was a good film. and it didn't seem that long at all! i didn't even realise three hours had been up. i think i just have a thing for long movies. hahah. also jack black wasn't that annoying and and overall-ness of the movie was... nice. gosh, my vocabulary has really gone down the drain since hsc finished. in fact, i don't think it was awfully extensive before. haha oh well. i only got uni ahead of me. =S go peter jeckson!
anyway, i have probably gone on for too long and if you've read till this far, CONGRATULATIONS! i am now going to err... i don't know. maybe sleep. or watch tv. goodnight! and hope all your holidays are great!
with disney love from hk,
kimpossible! hahaha. =D

COLORS OF THE WIND!!! man looks like your having the best time lol. although...i didnt like disneyland when i went to it in LA...maybe it's cause my brother dragged us all onto the rides for the 'younger' kids....or maybe it's cause i found out that the characters werent real :(. The fight with the dino's are the best!!! well...i havent seen it yet but i cant wait to see that bit when i do! and i like long blogs but after i read yours becaues of the background colors i always have this werid brightness in my eye...it cant be a good thing.
